As the year comes to a close, it’s the ideal moment to reflect on everything happening across Lean 6 Services, from nationwide Lean Six Sigma training, leadership development, virtual delivery, collaboration and capability building. It’s been a year defined by momentum, connection and genuinely meaningful continuous improvement.
This year wasn’t simply busy.
It was purposeful, and that’s exactly what strong process improvement should feel like.

Throughout the year, we delivered Lean Six Sigma workshops to organisations across a wide range of sectors. These sessions took place in person around the UK, as well as virtually for delegates joining from further afield, proving again that effective Lean training works wherever people are ready to engage.
Teams explored structured problem-solving, root-cause analysis, waste reduction and operational clarity.
The feedback remained consistent… when the learning environment is practical, supportive and people-focused, capability grows quickly.
Our virtual workshops were a significant part of this year’s work, delivering strong engagement and excellent feedback. One delegate even described a session as “sickeningly good”, a comment that has stuck with us and reflects the energy, relevance and impact we aim for in every Lean Six Sigma training course.
Strengthening Leadership Through Collaboration
This year brought another strong period of collaboration with Paul Hind of Amplified Leaders, combining Lean Six Sigma methodology with leadership development. Together, we delivered high-impact sessions that help organisations build the mindset, behaviours and culture needed to sustain improvement.
Leadership is the backbone of any continuous improvement environment, and this partnership continues to support leaders in developing clarity, confidence and communication skills that truly drive change.

Leadership capability has been a major focus this year, including our work with Glasgow City Council, where we delivered leadership skills training designed to support behaviour-led change, self-reflection and consistent improvement practices.
We know that Lean methodologies only thrive when leaders understand how to apply them effectively and support their teams through change. This year reinforced that leadership development and Lean Six Sigma success go hand in hand.
Across our platforms, we shared practical thinking designed to spark conversation and challenge outdated habits. Some of the themes that resonated most were:
Being busy does not mean being productive
Small improvements can lead to big results
Leadership shapes and sustains improvement
Questioning long-standing habits creates opportunity
Year-end reflection provides powerful improvement insights
These ideas represent core principles of Lean Six Sigma and strong business improvement.
Supporting People at Every Level
One of the most rewarding aspects of this year was supporting individuals in the North East who were looking for work.
Providing practical tools, confidence-building and structured thinking reminded us that Lean Six Sigma equips people with the tools necessary for every stage of their journey.
From technicians to senior leaders…
from jobseekers to large organisations…
this year has proven again that wherever work happens, there is potential for improvement.
A Year Rooted in Improvement and Capability
Looking back, this year has strengthened our belief that Lean Six Sigma isn’t just a method, it’s a mindset.
A way of seeing work differently.
A way of enabling people to make change where it matters.
Through Lean Six Sigma training, leadership development, improvement workshops and consultancy, we’ve helped organisations sharpen their thinking, strengthen their systems and create cultures that support sustainable improvement.
Looking Ahead
With more workshops, leadership programmes, virtual delivery and capability-building projects already scheduled, next year is shaping up to be another impactful chapter.
If your organisation wants to strengthen its approach to continuous improvement, develop its people, or embed Lean Six Sigma into day-to-day operations, Lean 6 Services is here to support you.
